About Amarajyoti
Amarajyoti has been teaching yoga since 1988 and in 1993 she left her job in education and travelled to India to the World Yoga Convention. There she met her guru, Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati and made a resolution to return to India and spend time with him in the Bihar School of Yoga. She then spent six months in the Welsh Ashram (Mandala Yoga Ashram) and six months in India, where she continued with her yoga studies.
In 1995 she moved to the West of Ireland to continue her studies with Swamis Shraddha and Chetan Murti, gaining a further teaching qualification. During this time she researched and taught yoga practices for the management of mental health difficulties.
Amarajyoti now lives in Nottingham where she teaches weekly Yoga classes for experienced students. She also runs Meditation and Chakra courses, teaches the Yogic Cleansing practices along with other Satyananda teachers and specialises in teaching Yoga for Mental Health, including training teachers in this area. She teaches Yoga in prisons and is currently training to teach yoga for people dealing with cancer.
She is also an artist who paints chakras and yoga related subject. Her work can be viewed at the centre.
She is available to teach private classes and workshops

Satya Kripa is fully trained as a Satyananda Yoga Teacher. She has been practicing yoga for over 10 years under the guidance of Amarajyoti and is now teaching beginners level, bringing to this class freshness and a sensitive approach. She can also teach the yogic cleansing practices.
